5 Things: Lark Art Classes and Trombone at Sycamore
Ditmas Park-area information and events you won't want to miss.

1. Get out of your musical rut. Thursday night, head to Sycamore to hear trombonist Dave Nelson play his unique mix of classical and pop the promises to "transport you to a higher state of consciousness" (according to the bar's website). Read more about the event here.
2. Encourage your little Matisse. Lark Cafe is offering a new art class for kids ages 6 to 10-years-old, with the goal of guiding young artists through the basics of color, shape, line, texture and form. The course will be held on Saturdays at 11 a.m. beginning on Jan. 26. The 10-week session costs $300. Click here for more information.

3. Get the kids out of the house. Head to Pre-School Storytime with the beloved Harriet at Midwood Martial Arts. 1302 Avenue H at Argyle. 10:15 or 11:15 a.m. $1 donation per child requested.
4. Encourage a new restaurant. The L Magazine ventured to Kensington to try out Hamilton's, and they liked what they tasted. Read the review here.

5. Move the car. Sorry folks, alternate side parking rules are in effect today. The next suspension isn't until Monday, Jan. 21 for MLK Day.
