5 Things: Americana at Sycamore and Roe v. Wade Trivia Contest

1. Hit the dance floor. Tonight at Northwood w/ Emily McClean brings their brand of Americana/indie/folk to Sycamore. 9 p.m. $10. 

2. Feel better. Today there's Community Acupuncture at Third Root from 3 to 8 p.m. The acupuncture treatment takes about 90 minutes, so make sure to get there by 6:30 p.m. Sliding scale $20 to $40. 380 Marlborough Road.

3. Know Your Roe. Celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision at the Planned Parenthood Outreach Trivia: Know Your Roe at Branded Saloon in Prospect Heights. 7:30 p.m. Free, but RSVP requested (details at the link).

4. Nerd out. Swing by The Way Station for Choirfly + Noah Redfield. Choirfly is NYC's premiere nerd-themed a cappella group. Founded in 2011 by Rachel Rakov, Choirfly's members share a love of singing in addition to their affections of comic books, video games, sci-fi, RPGs, and fantasy.
