A Staycation in Brooklyn: The Isabella at Ditmas Park B&B
The spacious Victorian home serves as one of Ditmas Park's many bed and breakfasts
While Ditmas Park is home to many bed and breakfasts, The Isabella at Ditmas Park is the network's newest and arguably one of the more private b&b's.
"It basically is its own apartment," says owner Alexandra Reddish, a real estate broker who has been running The Isabella with her husband since October.
The entire first floor operates as the bed and breakfast, offering a living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two baths that can all be rented at once. "You can book the entire suite and have your own little private apartment," she said. "It's not like ahotel where you're stuck in a room or at the bar."

Previously having rented the first floor to tenants, Reddish decided it would be a good idea to try running the floor as a bed and breakfast for more flexibility and a chance of pace. "You meet nice people," she said.
"It's geared toward people visiting family in Brooklyn. It's nice to meet different people and we haven't had any bad experiences."
