  1. Eric Adams is postponing his mayoral inauguration in Flatbush's King's Theater until a later date, amid concern over the Omicron COVID variant. He's hoping he can still hold it there a few weeks down the line. (NYC Patch)
  2. State Senator Kevin Parker was ranked number 7 on a list of New York State's "Energy & Environment Power 100." He's the sponsor of some progressive climate legislation including the Climate and Community Investment Act, but has been criticized recently by his opponent for State Senate for not going far enough.   4. COVID is still raging across the borough. 280,000 Brooklynites got tested last week (Dec. 12 to Dec. 18). Brooklyn has the second-highest rate of transmission in the borough, at 616 new cases per 100,000 residents.
