Bee Keeper Lunch, Day Care Info Session in Ditmas Park Monday

The neighborhood is brimming with activities to start the week

 

Kick off the week with a slew of things to do throughout the day.

Bring your kids to to learn about the wonderful world of bees. Meg Paska, an urban beekeeper and homesteader, will discuss the work that bees do and explain the basics on keeping bees in our backyards and rooftops. 

Then, the group will head over to the backyard of Ditmas Park residents Mike Sheehanand Diana King to visit their hive. The event will conclude with lunch at The Farm on Adderley and bee-themed arts & crafts.

The event begins at 10 a.m. and lunch will be held at 12 p.m. Tickets for the event cost $20 for children and $25 for adults.

Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend an informational session for the "Little Architects" toddler drop off summer camp starting this August at Namaste Yoga of Kensington.

Running Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m., children will complete daily hands on projects related to the theme as well as music, movement and dramatic play.

Children will also be nurtured to develop fine and gross motor skills, enhance social skills and be introduced to language arts, math and science.
