1. Brooklyn could become the next real estate 'cease-and-desist' zone, depending on the implementation of bill signed by Governor Kathy Hochul last month. The bill stops real estate brokers and speculators from harassing or making unsolicited calls to homeowners. The bill was sponsored by Flatbush State Senator Kevin Parker in hopes that it would protect his Brooklyn neighborhoods. (Brooklyn Paper)
