Brooklyn ARTery Market Opening Postponed

The artisan market's vendors must secure temporary permits before being allowed to participate

Though its debut at the Flatbush Frolic was a success, Brooklyn ARTery's artisan market will not be held this weekend, according to Susan Siegel, the market's developer.

Siegel said not enough vendors have been able to secure temporary vendor permits yet, and because of this the opening of the market has been postponed.

The Brooklyn ARTery itself has received its permit to start the artisan market. The market's inaugural sale was held Sun., Sept. 16, coinciding with the neighborhood's Flatbush Frolic.

The Brooklyn ARTery is also moving into a permanent location in a Cortelyou Rd. storefront, with a pop-up holiday gift shop at 1027 Cortelyou Rd.
