Ditmas Parkers Celebrate New Lift With Ribbon Cutting

Ditmas Park residents, government officials and local supporters came out to show their support for the ribbon cutting of the Dorchester Senior Center lift. 

Completed earlier this year and recently deemed operational, the lift has made it possible for senior citizens who had been unable to use the stairs to join in on senior center activities.  

Assemblyman James Brennan, Assemblywoman Rhoda Jacobs, Councilman Mathieu Eugene and Senator David Storobin were among those that attended, and a representative from Borough President Marty Markowitz issued a proclamation to commend the center's work.
