FLATLANDS, BROOKLYN — An arrest has been made in connection to the August shooting death of 28-year-old Flatlands father Zavon Gordon.
Gordon (pictured above) was shot in the chest outside an Autozone on Aug. 4, according to the NYPD.
Gordon was driving a passenger bus before the shooting, according to the New York Daily News. He then started arguing with another man inside the Autozone's parking lot, the paper reported, at which point the man shot him.

According to police, Chrispen was arrested based on testimony provided by Gordon before he died. Chrispen was only charged with weapons possession because he was slashed during the encounter with Gordon, and may have fired his gun in self-defense, police said.
"I'm glad that they caught my brother killer but that still doesn't bring him back," Jhanelle Nelly Blaxx wrote on Facebook on Friday. "I'm just happy that we got justice, but his kids still have to grow without a father. I miss you my big brother. I will see you again when it's my time."
In a series of heartbreaking posts last August, a woman named Paris Paradise who said she'd been with Gordon for five years, mourned his death.
"5 years me and Zavon Gordon was together and they took him away from me and his family, father God heal me from the pain I'm going through," she wrote in one post.
"Only God know Zavon Gordon 2 months old child missing you like crazy," Paradise wrote in a second post.
Gordon was killed in the NYPD's 63rd Precinct, which patrolls Flatlands. According to official police statistics, through Sep. 18, major crimes were collectively down about 12 percent in the 63rd compared to the same time period last year.
Police had recorded 15 shootings with 17 victims in the precinct through Sep. 18, compared to 14 shootings with 16 victims during the same period in 2015.
