Ditmas Parker Nominated for Brooklyn Museum Exhibit
Eric Pesso has been named one of the top 10 artists for GO from the Brooklyn Museum.
The Brooklyn Museum might soon have local ties to Ditmas Park. Resident Eric Pesso has been nominated as one of GO Brooklyn's top 10 artists.
Museum curators will visit Pesso to determine if he will be one of the two artists featured in an exhibition, and if so, determine the work to be included.

Pesso, known for his abstract wood sculptures, was among nine Ditmas Park artists participating in the open studio project.
By Nov. 15, the featured artists will be announced for the exhibition, which will open on Dec. 1, during the museum's Target First Saturday evening.

Pesso has been using wood as his base for as long as he has been an artist, he told Ditmas Park Patch earlier this year.
"I start with large logs, cross sections of big oak trees, straight sections of local woods," he said. "I just have an affinity for wood. I don't know why."
