Eugene Works to Improve Traffic in Ditmas Park

The congressman reaches out to Department of Transportation to discuss traffic issues

Congressman Mathieu Eugene, D-Ditmas Park, is making strides to remedy the many traffic issues plaguing the neighborhood.

A spokesman for Eugene noted he is in the process of organizing a public meeting with staff from the Department of Transportation to discuss the traffic issues covering the area.

At the 70th Precinct Community Council June meeting, Eugene acknowledged there are problems with traffic in the neighborhood. He said that adding traffic lights in the neighborhood, such as at the intersection of Cortelyou and Westminster roads, might help the situation.
