FDC Gears Up for Summer Camp, Looks for Supplies
The Flatbush Development Corp. is in the market for supplies for its annual summer camp.

As the Flatbush Development Corp. prepares to launch its free summer camp in July, it has reached out to the community for supplies that campers and counselors can use.
"We were hoping that with the spring cleaning and yard sales coming up, that there may be a few appropriate items for donation for the campers and counselors to use," a release said.
FDC is looking for children's books read-alongs for children in kindergarten and first grade, as well as free reading time books for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, according to Robin Redmond, executive director.

The group is also looking for arts and crafts supplies, knitting supplies and board games, Redmond said.
The camp, open for children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, will run for seven weeks beginning July 9 and will take place at P.S. 152. "We take 120 children," Redmond said. "Applications are available at the office and it is a lottery."
