At Pilates on Rugby at 8:30 a.m. is a pilates class for intermediate and advanced students. Classes are $13. Before heading over check the website http://­pilate­sonrugby.­com to see if drop-ins are welcome as class sizes vary. 


Improve flexibility, strength, concentration and relaxation at Midwood Martial Arts and Family Fitness Center during the 9 a.m. yoga class for adults and teens. Classes are $14 and meet for an hour and 15 minutes. Call (718)258-5425 for more information.

If you're looking for a yoga class with a different speed, head to 380 Marlborough Road at 9 a.m. for a class geared toward postnatal students and those with lower back pain. This class, led by Doreen, integrates core-targeted poses and exercises for the wellness of abs, internal organs and the back. Prices vary, so call (718)940.9343 for more information.




This class, held at the Midwood Martial Arts Center at 3:30 p.m., introduces children to the beginning moves of karate in a fun, supportive environment. The class is $14 and is appropriate for children ages 4 to 6. Call (718)258-5425 for more information.

At the Latin Fever Dance Studio at 5:15 p.m., children ages 5 to 7 are welcome to learn new moves. The salsa portion is taught by Marisol Ramirez from 5:15-6 p.m. and the ballet portion is taught by Jazmin Salley from 6-6:45 p.m. Classes are $70 per month.
