3. Speaking of the police, 11% of the NYPD workforce is requesting an exception to the vaccine mandate–that's three times as many people as in any other agency. While they wait for their request to be approved or denied the officers are allowed to continue working if they submit to regular testing. (Gothamist)

Conflict between Brooklyn Democrats–with Flatbush Assemblymember and county boss Rodneyse Bichotte-Hermelyn in the spotlight–is now being described as a "civil war" that pits Hispanic and Black leaders against one another, as well as "reformers versus what they call the machine," after lawmakers held a press conference on Friday.
