2. The race for New York Governor next year is heating up. Tuesday, Jumaane Williams, public advocate and former councilmember representing Flatbush, announced his bid for the seat. 4. New York City took a big step towards making its pandemic-era outdoor dining program permanent, when the Department of City Planning voted for it unanimously. Some city residents say it negatively impacts their quality of life, and have filed lawsuits. (Gothamist)
