Here Are Your Ditmas Park and Flatbush Neighborhood NYPD Officers

Community policing has come to Ditmas Park and Flatbush. Here are the names of your local neighborhood cops.

DITMAS PARK and FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — The NYPD says that community policing will be in more than half of its precincts by this October.

Under the model, precincts are divided into four quadrants. Two officers, known as Neighborhood Coordination Officers, or NCOs, spend all of their time in each. Their aim is to know their area of responsibility intimately, and to build relationships with locals that will lead to better police-community relations, more tips and lower crime.

Flatbush and Ditmas Park are patrolled by the NYPD's 70th Precinct, where through Aug. 7, major crimes are collectively down about five percent compared to the same period last year.
