City Councilman to talk stop-and-frisk, racial profiling with Department of Justice Thursday

New York's will be the first order of business when Ditmas Park's City Councilman Jumaane Williams meets with the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division on Thursday.

He, along with other elected officials, will meet with representatives of the Civil Rights Division of the Department of Justice to discuss racial profiling concerns, including , according to a release from Williams.

The closed-door meeting will be followed by a 12 p.m. press conference at the Capitol Hill House Triangle where those gathered will urge President Barack Obama's administration to take action on racial profiling, the release continued.

Williams and others will then advise on the racial profiling in New York as well as around the country during a meeting with members of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus, Congressional Black Caucus, Congressional Hispanic Caucus and Congressional Progressive Caucus.
