Morning Tip: Plant and Bake Sales, Concert at PS 217 Thursday

If you're looking for a way to take advantage of the increasingly warm weather, PS 217 has you covered. 

PS 217 will hold a Mother's Day plant and bake sale Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11 to benefit the PS 217 Parent's Association. 

The sale will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. until all goods are sold on Friday in front of the school at 1100 Newkirk Avenue. 

Cupcakes, plants, gifts and other treats will be available from $1 to $20. 

PS 217 is also holding the first of its weekly night garden concerts Thursday, May 10.

Local fiddler Tom Swafford and friends will play folk and country music in the school garden from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., weather permitting. Lemonade and cups will be provided.
