Morning Tip: Plant Potatoes at the Lefferts House This Weekend

In addition to its normal weekend festivities, the Lefferts House is holding potato planting days this weekend.

Visit the Lefferts Historic House to plant potatoes for the fall harvest this Saturday and Sunday from 1-4 p.m.

Children can help spread manure, till soil and plant potatoes. In the fall, bring the kids back to reap what they sowed!

Once the planting is done, children will wash up and have the opportunity to churn fresh butter and spread it on freshly baked cornbread made on-site over an open fire.
