Morning Tip: Youth Conference at Brooklyn College

The fifth annual Youth Conference, brought to the community by Community Board 14 and Brooklyn College, is set for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.

Brooklyn Community Board 14 and Brooklyn College are holding the fifth annual Youth Conference today, Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. on the sixth floor of the college's student center.

The event will run until 7:00 p.m. and is open to people ages 12 to 20. The conference offers attendees opportunities for summer employment, internships and volunteer opportunities.

Information about college admissions, internships, volunteer opportunities, social services and general career advisors will be present.

Representatives from the FBI, NYPD and Business Career Explorer Programs will also be in attendance. Workshops will be held throughout the conference that focus on a wide array of topics including interview skills and cyber-bullying. 

The event is free and no registration is required. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. To get to the Student Center, enter campus at East 27 Street and Campus Road.
