However, in an email sent out late on Thursday, Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams and Councilman Vincent Gentile, whose district includes Dyker Heights, confirmed the media reports.

As of Thursday night, no arrests had been made, police said, and an investigation into the shooting was ongoing.

L&B was founded in 1939 by Italian immigrant Ludovico Barbati, according to the restaurant's website, and is renowned for both its spumoni, an Italian dessert, and its pizza.
