What is better than a long summer day spent soaking up the sun while listening to your favorite tunes? With the official start of summer just days away, Ditmas Park Patch thought it best to list some of the best songs to go with the warm weather.

Before he was one of the biggest movie stars of all time, Will Smith was one-half of a hit-making duo. Really, how can you go wrong with lyrics like, "Riding around in your jeep or your benzos, or in your Nissan stting on lorenzos?" This was the pair's biggest hit and earned the group their second Grammy.

It's stuck in my head, it's stuck in your head and it's not going anywhere anytime soon, so why not embrace it? Head to your local watering hole and play this on the juke box to watch a crowd of all ages go crazy.

Long Hot Summer Night by Jimi Hendrix (1968)

If you're feeling guilty for enjoying that last song a little too much, balance out the pop with some Hendrix. A hit off 'The Jimi Hendrix Experience,' the song has great lyrics, a great sound and is perfect for a day by the pool.
