Sustainable Flatbush Community Compost Canceled Saturday
Due to the extreme temperatures predicted for this Saturday, the compost has been canceled.
Sustainable Flatbush has canceled its usual Saturday community composting event due to the extreme temperatures predicted for this weekend, according to an email sent by the group.
The group stressed in to not bring kitchen scraps to the composting site when it is not attended.
The email also noted the next scheduled dropoff will be Wednesday, July 11, from 5:30-8 p.m.

The compost site is located in the Flatbush Reformed Church Community Garden behind the Church, on East 21 Street between Kenmore Terrace and Church Avenue.
