Sycamore No Longer Allowing Dogs After DOH Crack-Down
Canines can no longer belly up to the bar due to fines from the Department of Health.

It's the end of an era for Sycamore Flowershop and Bar: man's best friend can no longer accompany their masters for a night at the Ditmas Park local.
Due to the Department of Health's regulations, the bar has had to forbid dogs from coming onto the premesis, a decision that doesn't please owner Justin Israelson.

"We are also very upset about this decision but it is now out of our hands," he told Patch.
Since the DOH considers bars and restaurants one in the same, all rules that apply to eateries now apply to the bar, Israelson said. "We have crossed our fingers hoping that when the [DOH] shows up, we'll be lucky and our canine friends would not be there," he said.

Unfortunately for Fido, that wasn't the case. Sycamore was twice seriously fined and then given a final warning about allowing dogs in the bar.
"We are sorry and hope our neighborhood friends (humans and dogs) understand," Israelson said.
