TD Bank to Open Nearby Store, Hire Locally

TD Bank is opening a store nearby to Ditmas Park that will focus on energy efficiency and hiring locally, according to a release sent by the bank. 

The store, which will be located at 1623 Flatbush Avenue near Brooklyn College, is locally hiring between 10 and 15 employees.

Manager Debra Hillaire will be responsible for new business development, consumer lending, and managing personnel and day-to-day operations.

The new store will also be targeting LEED Gold certification based on its overall environmental performance in six areas: the use of a sustainable site, low water usage, energy efficiency, the use of recycled materials, its indoor environmental air quality and its innovation and design. 

The store will celebrate its newest addition with a community grand opening on Friday, July 13, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the new store located. 

Entire families, including pets, are welcome to come to the celebration, which is free and open to the public. It will feature a free hot dog cart, bagged snacks and soft drinks and a DJ and balloon artists. 

The opening will also include games and prizes, including a chance to win a $1,000 electric Jetson bike with a rechargeable battery and will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony.
