The Dive Bar Dukes Take Over Sycamore Friday

The Dive Bar Dukes will perform at local watering hole Sycamore on Fri., Oct. 12, with doors opening at 9 p.m. 

The Brooklyn-based group plays an original blend of Folk Rock, Honky Tonk, Blues and Bluegrass, making a sound that has evolved since the band’s inception in 2008.  

Members of the band include Hans Holzen on guitar, Peter Bitenc on bass, Bennett Sullivan on banjo, and Melody Allegra on fiddle, Ross Martin on telecaster guitar and Joel Arnow on drums.

The group fluctuates between trio and five-piece make-up, and is led by Holzen, who has previously toured with musicians including Carrie Rodriguez, and has recorded and performed live on A Prairie Home Companion & Austin City Limits.
