Three Teens Arrested in Ditmas Park for iPhone Theft
Members of the Transit Bureau made the arrest aboard a northbound B train at Newkirk Plaza.

Three teens were arrested Wednesday afternoon for grand larceny of an Apple iPhone while aboard a northbound B train at the Newkirk Plaza station, according to police.
At approximately 3:50 p.m., the three teens surrounded a plain clothed officer, a member of the Transit Bureau Brooklyn's Decoy Unit, who was carrying a backpack with an iPhone in one of its compartments. One of the teenagers bumped into the officer and then removed the phone.

Other members of the Decoy Unit saw what was occurring and apprehended the teens.
A 17-year-old was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and jostling. Two 16-year-olds were charged with grand larceny and jostling.
