The Fortune Society Spreads Holiday Cheer for Thanksgiving
The Fortune Society arranged holiday meals and gifted turkeys to residents at its housing sites in Queens, Harlem, and the Bronx

(November 22, 2022—NEW YORK, N.Y.)—Turkey, stuffing, and love – three items in the menu over the last week asThe Fortune Society (Fortune) arranged holiday meals and gifted turkeys to residents at its housing sites in Queens, Harlem, and the Bronx as Thanksgiving approached.
From November 15 to November 21, Fortune clients and staff enjoyed grab-and-go or family-style Thanksgiving lunches and dinners at Fortune’s Freedom House (East Harlem), Fortune Academy (West Harlem), Mandaela Community (Bronx), and Long Island City facilities.
Fortune also distributed turkeys and other holiday groceries to its clients at its Freedom House, Mandaela Community, Castle Gardens (West Harlem), and Long Island City facilities on the Monday before Thanksgiving
“Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate gratitude,” said JoAnne Page, President and CEO of The Fortune Society. “We gather on the holiday to be thankful for what we have, the friends we cherish, and the community we love. We wish all of our program participants and their families a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.”
Overall, Fortune served over 650 participants with meals and distributed over 250 turkeys.
