Christopher Carlino, Director of Operations At Grucci, Dies At 54

ISLIP TERRACE, NY — Christopher J. Carlino, Director of Operations at Fireworks by Grucci, died on Jan. 9, 2021. He was 54.

The Islip Terrace resident worked at Fireworks by Grucci since 1993. According to his obituary on the Chapey and Sons Funeral Home website, the company was Carlino's "second family."

"We send our condolences and deepest sympathy to his family for their loss," an announcement from the company stated.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra, and his children, Nicole and Christopher. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Beth Carlino; Stephen and Megan Carlino; and Joseph and Jamie Carlino.

In addition, he is survived by his aunt and godmother, Marie Gallelli; his in-laws, George and Marge Tusinski; and George and Michelle. He is also survived by cousins; Greg, Marc, and Linda as well as his nieces and nephews; Dylan, Nicholas, Kyle, Nicholas, Joseph, Madison, Marc, Joseph, Elisa, Sophia, and Camille.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Camille Carlino.

Visitation will be held Wednesday at the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. on 200 East Main Street in East Islip from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Thursday starting at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle R.C. Church on 70 Rockaway Street in Islip Terrace.
