East Islip BOE President To Serve Second Consecutive Term

EAST ISLIP, NY — The East Islip Board of Education will continue to be led by a familiar face.

For the second consecutive year, Christopher Zachry was named the board president for the 2022 to 2023 school year, during an annual reorganization meeting on Tuesday.

Zachry, who was first elected as a trustee in 2014, previously served as board president from
2015 to 2016 and from 2018 to 2019.

Michael Dorgan, who joined the board last year, was named vice president.

New Trustee Timothy Sassone, who was unable to attend the reorganization meeting, was also sworn in at an earlier time.
