EI Student Tests Positive For Coronavirus; HS Closed Friday

EAST ISLIP, NY – An East Islip High School student has tested positive for COVID-19, the district announced on its Facebook page Thursday evening.

The high school will be closed Friday "out of an abundance of caution to clean and work with the Dept. of Health for contact tracing," the message says.

Thursday night's Board of Education meeting location has been changed to the Early Childhood Center upstairs in the boardroom. Seating will be limited to 15 people. The 8 p.m. meeting will also be live streamed for the public to view here.
