Funeral Scheduled For East Islip Woman Found Dead In Florida

EAST ISLIP, NY - Funeral services for the 20-year-old East Islip woman found dead in Florida have been scheduled.

In May, Jenna Jacobsen was reported missing in Palm Beach, Florida where she was headed to attend a substance treatment center.

Earlier this month, officers responded to Southwinds Drive in Lantana in response to human bones found lying in the natural area and later confirmed the remains discovered were of Jacobsen.

Following the news of Jacobsen's death, a fundraising campaign was created to help raise over $15,000 to help bring her remains back to Long Island as well as to help her father with funeral costs.

A visitation has been scheduled at the Albrecht, Bruno and O'Shea Funeral Home on 62 Carleton Avenue in East Islip for Sunday, June 23 starting at 2 p.m. Services will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
