Graduating East Islip Standout Swimmer Signs With SUNY Cortland
Kaila O'Hara will join the Cortland swimming and diving team this fall.

EAST ISLIP, NY — Swimmer from East Islip Kaila O'Hara signed with SUNY Cortland to join the swimming and diving team this fall.
O'Hara is a freestyle sprinter and the captain of the Connetquot-East Islip girls varsity swimming and diving team. She was MVP for the last two years and All-League for the last three years. The swimmer is also a member of East Islip’s varsity track and field team, competing as a pole vaulter and sprinter.
She plans to major in mathematics and adolescent education at Cortland. During her time at East Islip High School she reached the top tenth percent of her class academically and was a member of East Islip’s National Honor Society and Foreign Language Honor Society.
