Obituary: Bernard Phalen, Ex-Chief Of East Islip Fire Department

Visitation: Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the East Islip Fire Department on 30 East Main Street in East Islip.

Service: Monday, May 7 starting at 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary Church on 20 Harrison Avenue in East Islip.

Obituary: Bernard C. Phalen, an ex-chief of the East Islip Fire Department, passed away on Wednesday, May 2. He was 81.

Phalen had been a member of the department for 48 years.

He will be buried at the Queen of All Saints Cemetery in Central Islip.
