Bacon Restaurant Plans Outpost In The East Village
Bar Bacon wants to open a location in the East Village.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A bacon-focused restaurant is planning to open a second New York City location in the East Village, according to a notice posted in the neighborhood.
Bar Bacon, located at 836 Ninth Ave., wants to bring its bacon-inspired menu to Tompkins Square. The Hell's Kitchen restaurant has applied for a liquor license and to use an outdoor patio for the empty storefront at 171 Avenue A, EV Grieve reported. The application hasn't yet been uploaded to Community Board 3's website, but has been posted in the window of the Avenue A storefront.
Pretty much everything on Bar Bacon's menu features its signature food. The menu has everything from your standard to BLT to a bacon lobster roll. For dessert, you can order chocolate covered bacon or a bacon vanilla milkshake, served with bacon whipped cream.

The storefront at 171 Avenue A, located between 10th and 11th streets, previously housed the Vietnamese restaurant Chao Chao, which closed in May. Chao Chao had been open for just six months.
