The Hulu comedy series 'Difficult People' came prepared with a threat from the city to tow any cars in their way.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — The Hulu comedy series "Difficult People" was filming in the East Village on Monday, taking up two blocks on 7th and 6th streets with trucks and equipment and armed with a threat from the city to tow any cars parked in their way.

Fliers were posted throughout the East Village cautioning residents that the crew would be filming throughout the day on Monday.

"We will be filming scenes in your neighborhood, and will be clearing parking for film equipment and production vehicles," the notice cautions.

The comedy show, which stars Billy Eichner, Julie Klausner and Gabourey Sidibe, was planning on shooting on East 6th and 7th streets between 2nd Avenue and Shevchenko Place. If your car was parked on those roads as of Sunday at 10 p.m., they've likely been towed by the city, according to the flier. Unlucky car owners can contact the city to find out where to pick up their cars.
