We do one thing – provide very young students with a magical introduction to ballet – and we focus all of our energy on doing that one thing in the highest quality manner possible. This means that every aspect of your child’s experience at Tutu School- from the sparkling spaces to the smiling faces – has been specifically tailored to the needs of even the tiniest dancers. Our carefully crafted curriculum was designed by dance professionals and developmental specialists to ensure that precisely the right amount of ballet technique is being introduced to students at exactly the right time, and not any earlier than their little bodies and young imaginations are ready for it. Importantly, our Tutu teachers receive thoughtful training in our curriculum and in the best ways to support young dancers, whatever their age, developmental stage, or level of experience. We believe in introducing students to ballet in a way that makes sense for their bodies and their development, but that also nurtures their creativity and love of music and movement. GREENPOINT, NY — A 27-year-old bicyclist was killed after being hit by a garbage truck in the area of Franklin Street and Noble Street in Greenpoint, police said. The NYPD said officers were called to the area around half past midnight on Saturday. When officers arrived on scene, they found a 27-year-old man lying on the road with severe trauma to his body. EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene. He was identified as East Village resident Neftaly Ramirez. An investigation revealed that the bicyclist was riding along Franklin Street when he was struck by the garbage truck, which was going southbound on Franklin street, police said. The truck, which was green with yellow and white writing, did not remain at the scene and kept going along Franklin street.
