East Village Man's Head Slashed By Stranger, Say NYPD

The 25-year-old was rushed to Lenox Hill hospital where he received several stitches, police said.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A stranger slashed a 25-year-old on the back of his head in the East Village Sunday, police said.

The victim was standing outside of Karma, a First Avenue hookah bar near E. Third Street, when at 3:30 a.m. a man ran up behind him and slashed the back of his head, police said Monday.

The slasher ran off in an unknown direction.

Emergency responders transported the victim to Lenox Hill where he received stitches for lacerations to his head, authorities said.

Police describe the suspect as last seen in a black jacket and a backwards baseball hat.
