East Village Pasta Spot Shutters For Repairs After Fire
Fiaschetteria Pistoia has closed for post-fire renovations, but loyal customers can head to their new outpost in the West Village.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — The lauded Italian eatery that suffered a fire on Sunday has temporarily closed for renovations.
More than 60 firefighters from 12 units battled the blaze in Fiaschetteria Pistoia, a traditional Italian restaurant Eater praised as a "brilliant bit of Tuscany," just off of Avenue C at about 11 p.m., FDNY said.
No injuries were reported, but the restaurant was damaged as the fire swept through the space and management has temporarily shuttered the eatery for repairs, according to a Christmas Day post on Fiaschetteria Pistoia's Instagram account.
