East Village Pizzeria Is 5th Most Ordered From In United States

EAST VILLAGE, NY — In a serious slice of East Village pride, a pizzeria in the neighborhood was just named as the fifth most ordered pizza joint in the entire country for the first part of 2022.

In honor of National Pizza Day on Wednesday, GrubHub released a list of the most ordered pizza spots in the country on its platform since the start of the year.

The No. 5 pizzeria?

Motorino Pizza at 349 East 12th Street.

To put that in perspective, there are over 61,000 pizzerias in the United States, according to the American Business Bureau.

Motorino is no newcomer to best pizza lists, frequently featuring in rankings of the best pies in the city and country.

Its pizza variety features soppressata, Italian sausage, meatballs, white crust, brussell sprouts, prosciutto, and all the classics.

Motorino also serves up salads, meatballs, roasted artichokes, wine by the glass, and more.

The East Village outpost is open from noon to 10:30 p.m. every day.

The pizzeria also has locations on the Upper West Side and in Williamsburg.

Here are the four pizzerias nationally that had more orders than the East Village joint in the first part of 2022.

2. John's Pizzeria Ristorante and Lounge — Chicago, IL
3. Two Boots — Brooklyn, NY
4. Rosario's Pizzeria & Restaurant — Philadelphia, PA
5. Motorino Pizza — Manhattan, NY

And here are the five most Grubhub ordered pizzerias in New York City, where Motorino finished third.

1. Fresco Pizzeria — Hudson Heights
2. Two Boots — Park Slope
3. Motorino’s — East Village
4. Arturo’s Pizza — Upper East Side
5. Table 87 — Brooklyn Heights

Pepperoni was the city's No. 1 ordered topping.
