East Village Shooting Leaves Man Critically Injured, Police Say
Authorities are still searching for an attacker or attackers who shot a 23-year-old man in the head on Friday.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — Police are hunting for a gunman who shot a man in the head in the East Village on Friday, according to the NYPD.
An unknown attacker or attackers shot the man in the head after an argument near East 8th Street and Avenue D, near the Jacob Riis Houses, according to police. Authorities say the 23-year-old victim was rushed to nearby Bellevue hospital and is in critical condition.
Police are still searching for a gunman or gunmen in the shooting, which happened at about 4:12 p.m. on Friday.
