Knifeman Attacks Stranger Outside East Village CVS, Police Say
The victim suffered stab wounds to his back, abdomen, chest and head, police said.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A knifeman slashed a 23-year-old stranger in an apparently random attack early on Friday morning outside of an East Village CVS, police said.
The attacker, who police have not yet arrested, approached the 23-year-old outside of a CVS Pharmacy located inside the New School at 65 Fifth Ave. on Friday at 6:05 a.m. Police said the knifeman threatened the man before stabbing and slashing him multiple times.
The 23-year-old suffered stab wounds to his back, abdomen, chest and head. He was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital and released.

The attacker ran from the area after slashing the 23-year-old, police said. Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying him and believe he is between 25 and 30 years old.
