Man Slashed In The East Village, Police Say

A man was attacked with a knife on Thursday morning in the East Village, according to police.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A man was attacked with a knife on Thursday morning in the East Village, police said.

The man, who police have not identified, was attacked on Thursday at about 11:45 a.m. near First Avenue and 14th Street.

The knifeman was wearing a black leather jacket and ran away after attacking the victim, an NYPD spokeswoman said. He has not been arrested.

Police said the injured man was transported to the hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Authorities did not immediately have additional details about the attack.
