Man's Body Discovered Lying On East Village Sidewalk: NYPD
The unidentified man was discovered fully clothed on E. Ninth Street and Third Avenue early Friday morning, police said.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A dead man was discovered lying on the sidewalk in the East Village early Friday morning, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call of an unconscious man on sidewalk at the corner of E. Ninth Street and Third Avenue at 2:24 a.m. When first responders arrived, they discovered an unresponsive man lying face up on the sidewalk with no obvious signs of trauma.
The man, who police say is in his 40s and is likely homeless, was fully clothed when locals spotted him sprawled on the concrete and called police.

Medics transported the man to Beth Israel Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The city Medical Examiner's office will determine the exact cause of death and a police investigation is ongoing.
