Man Fatally Struck By Subway At Astor Place, Police Say
Police are investigating an incident at the Astor Place subway station on Tuesday evening.

ASTOR PLACE, NY — A man was struck and killed by a subway train on Tuesday evening, police said.
The man, who police have not identified, was walking on the subway tracks near the Astor Place station on Tuesday at about 5:40 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said. The train operator was not able to stop the train in time, according to police, and it fatally hit the man.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
