Second Trader Joe's To Open In The East Village
The new store is scheduled to open in the second half of 2018 at 432 E 14th St.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — The East Village is getting a Trader Joe's. Again.
A new grocery store is scheduled to open in the neighborhood next year, just blocks away from the city's original store on East 14th Street. The new store is scheduled to open in the second half of 2018, according to a statement from the grocery store chain. The store will open in a mixed-use development at 432 E 14th St. directly across the street from Stuyvesant Town-Peter Cooper Village, the city's largest apartment complex which houses about 27,000 people.
The new Trader Joe's, which is one of a number the company is opening in New York City, will open just blocks away from the chain's outpost near Union Square. The Union Square shop, which is also accompanied by a Trader Joe's wine store, is infamous for its long, never-ending lines that wind throughout the store.
