Subway Slasher Attacks Man Near Union Square Station, Police Say
The man slashed someone's back as they exited the Union Square subway station, police said.

UNION SQUARE, NY — Officers are searching for an unknown man who attacked someone near the Union Square subway station on Saturday, police said.
The man, believed to be between 35 and 40 years old, attacked another man as he exited the Union Square subway station at about 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, police said. The attacker approached the victim from behind and used an unknown object to slash the victim on his back, the NYPD said in a statement. The victim, a 29-year-old man, then chased his attacker back into the subway station before the slasher boarded a northbound 6 train, authorities said. (Want more local news? The 29-year-old was treated for his injury.
