VIDEO: East Village Robber Smashes His Way Into Six Shops
The thief's haul includes an electric bike, arm-fulls of clothes and ten selfie sticks.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A bandit is breaking into East Village shops by tossing bricks through storefronts and making off with thousands in cash, clothes and electronics, police said.
The thief has struck six shops over the course of a month starting on Sept. 28 when he busted into Blue and Cream clothing store on E. First Street near the Bowery. He used a rock to shatter the store's side glass door and snuck into the store. The man fled with arm-fulls of clothing and $140 in cash, police said.
He hit the same stop on Oct. 8, this time using a brick to bust through the glass door. Five pairs of sneakers and $500 in cash were taken from the shop, cops said.

The third incident occurred at The Mobile Spa on E. Houston Street near the Bowery on Oct. 10. Again, the robber used a brick to break in. Once inside, he helped himself to ten headphones and six cell phone cases, according to authorities.

On Oct. 13, he struck San Francisco-based bag manufacturer Timbuk2 on Lafayette Street near E. Houston Street using an object to smash through the back door. The man stole $300 before fleeing, police said.
He returned to The Mobile Spa on Oct. 15, this time making off with a massive haul including a whopping $5,000 in cash, an electric bike, ten cell phones, 40 headphones, 16 speakers, 15 portable charges, 10 selfies sticks and 48 cell phone cases.
The rogue's latest caper occurred on Oct. 20 at Pressed Juice on Lafayette Street between Bleecker and E. Houston streets. After tossing a rock through the back glass door, he made off with the entire cash draw from the register and an Apple iPad.
