AMAGANSETT, NY — A beloved East End seafood shack has gotten major shoutout— with its lobster roll being named one of the best on the East Coast by Forbes.
According to the eatery's website, "Over the last 41 years, the Clam Bar at Napeague has cemented itself as an institution, a landmark, and harbinger of all things summer in the Hamptons. East of Amagansett, west of Montauk, on the highway."
Generations of loyal customers have waited eagerly for summer, when they can grab a seat outside at The Clam Bar and order up a veritable feast of summer tastes.

According to the Forbes post, the "nostalgic seafood shack" is "nearly unchanged from when it opened four decades ago."
Along with the famed lobster roll — served on a "soft potato roll with a side of coleslaw" — Forbes also recommends the raw oysters, clams on the half shell, and the whole lobsters.

With other winners located in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York City, the Clam Bar is the only Long Island, and East End, locale to make the list — a surefire reason to stop by for a lobster roll when the restaurant opens again for the season in April.
