'Beach & Bays' Raises $610k

Nature Conservancy's fundraiser in East Hampton on Saturday raised $120,000 just for improving water quality on Long Island.

The Nature Conservancy's 12th Annual Beaches & Bays Gala in East Hampton on Saturday raised a whopping $610,000.

Held on the grounds of the , 325 guests attended. A live auction, "Dough for H20" raised $120,000 for improving water quality on Long Island. 

Jeff Hughes, chairman of the board, was honored for his longtime support of conservation. Christina and Alan MacDonald, and Bettina and Fred Stelle serve as the event’s co-chairs.
